10/5/2021 - The largest university-run film festival in the U.S. is set to run right here in Savannah October 23-30, 2021 as Savannah College of Art and Design presents their 24th annual SCAD Savannah Film Festival.  The festival will host in-person and virtual presentations.  For more on this year's honorees and full schedule and tickets information, visit SCAD Savannah Film Festival Website.

9/20/2021 - Check out the latest plans for Savannah's Forsyth Park renovations.  The Friends of Forsyth is engaging the community in the draft planning.  This is the third and final community engagement phase, and they are collecting community input via surveys and suggestions through the end of the month (9/30/2021).  Look for new bathrooms, playground, splash pad, and entertainment space.  For more info on how to review the plans and provide your feedback, visit the Friends of Forsyth website.

9/9/2021 - The Collective Face Theatre Ensemble is returning to live productions to in-person audiences this week with their staged production of A.R. Gurney's "Sylvia".  The Kennedy Fine Arts Auditorium at Savannah State University will host the production for three weekends.  "Sylvia" is a fun and uplifting play that provides some much needed humor.  Check here for ticket info:

8/27/2021 - In response to the current COVID-19 situation, the Savannah Jazz Festival will go virtual for a 2nd year.  The Savannah Jazz Festival performances scheduled for Sept. 23-26 will be re-located from Forsyth Park to the Savannah Station where all 16 live performances will be safely streamed.  Details are still be worked out, but the organizers plan to offer a limited number of in-person tickets as well.  Check the Savannah Jazz Festival's website for more updates and details.

8/19/2021 -  the inaugural Southeast Georgia Leadership Forum, scheduled in Savannah Sunday, September 12 - Tuesday, September 14, 2021, has been postponed until late winter or early spring of 2022 due to the current rise in COVID-19 numbers in the area.

7/21/2021 - It's official!  The name of the new Savannah Civic Center has been unveiled - The Enmarket Arena.  With a partial opening planned for January 2022, the new arena is expected to be fully operational in February 2022.  The Savannah City Council has a goal of putting local companies first, and the multi-year naming rights partnership with locally founded Enmark (originally Enmarket in 1964), is consistent with that goal.  Let's all join them in supporting our local businesses.
